Main Features

A 600W LED hybrid head with a 3°–42° beam, full CMY mixing plus CTO and CTB, a rotatable wheel of 7 replaceable gobos, an animation wheel and dual rotating prisms — beam, spot and wash duty in one IP65 fixture.

A 3°–42° Beam: Three Fixtures in One

The beam travels from 3° to 42°. At the tight end it is a hard-edged pencil shaft that cuts through haze for an entrance or a build; open it up and 42° washes a full stage or a dance floor. Buying a narrow beam head and a separate wash head is the usual answer to that range — this fixture covers both jobs, which means fewer clamps, fewer power drops, fewer DMX addresses and a shorter load-in. Power draw is 850W, so a single 600W LED engine sits behind the whole range.

CMY Mixing Plus 9 Colors, CTO and CTB

Color is where a hybrid head proves itself. CMY flags mix continuously, so you can ride a color across a whole song rather than snapping between two presets. On top of that sit a wheel of 9 colors including open, plus CTO and CTB. CTO adjusts linearly from 3200K to 6200K, which is what you use to pull a cool LED stage towards a warm, natural look — and CTB does the reverse. Both are on the console rather than in a gel book, so a color-temperature correction is a fader move.

7 Replaceable Gobos and an Animation Wheel

The rotatable gobo wheel holds 7 replaceable gobos plus open, and because the wheel rotates, the pattern itself spins or travels across a stage instead of sitting frozen. Replaceable matters for touring: load your own designs before a run rather than working around what shipped. Then there is the animation wheel, which produces cloud, fire and water motion effects. That is the layer that makes a projected look read as moving weather or flame rather than a static pattern.

Dual Rotating Prisms and Frost

Prism 1 is an 8-facet rotatable and Prism 2 is a separate 3-facet rotatable, so one beam becomes 8 or 3 rotating shafts — and they can be layered or spun at different speeds for the mid-air looks that fill a room. When the moment calls for softness rather than a hard shaft, the frost effect diffuses the edge. Between the prisms, the gobo wheels, the animation wheel and the frost, the fixture has five independent ways to change a look without touching color.

35CH, 38CH or 60CH With RDM, Art-Net and sACN

Three DMX personalities let you fit the fixture to the console: 35CH for a compact patch, 38CH with more parameters broken out, and 60CH when you want every function on its own channel for full manual control. RDM supports addressing and setup over the DMX line, which saves walking the rig during a focus. Art-Net and sACN mean the fixture can be driven over a network instead of a cable run, which is what makes a distributed rig practical. Four dimming curves and four dimming speeds are selectable, so fades can be tuned to the desk and the look.

IP65 Body, 29 kg, and the Connector Set

The fixture is IP65 rated, so dust and rain are covered — it can be specified for outdoor stages and permanent installations, not just covered rooms. At 29 kg (63.8 lb) in a 389 × 389 × 678 mm (15.3 × 15.3 × 26.7 in) body it is a touring-weight head that needs real mounting. Power runs on a True1 input, and data connects on 3-pin XLR with an integrated cable plus 5-pin XLR input/output — the combination that lets the same fixture patch into a professional 5-pin rack or a 3-pin line. Pan is 540° and tilt 270°, both on 16-bit scanning.

WHO IT’S BUILT FOR

Concerts, festivals and touring productions
The 3° beam end gives hard aerial shafts for a rock show, and opening to 42° washes a stage without adding fixtures. CMY mixing with CTO and CTB means color temperature can be corrected on the fly as the lighting changes through a set, and the 35/38/60CH personalities let the designer choose how much manual control to carry. Art-Net and sACN keep a large rig's data on the network, and IP65 means a festival position does not need a weather plan.
Nightclubs and live music venues
A 600W engine behind a 3° beam cuts through the haze of a full room, and the two rotating prisms turn one fixture into a fan that fills the air on a drop. The animation wheel's cloud, fire and water effects are what give a club rig movement that reads from across the floor. Frost softens the hard edge for the slower part of the night, and RDM speeds up addressing when the rig changes weekly.
Theatres and production houses
CMY flags, CTO and CTB are the tools a theatrical designer actually reaches for: correcting color temperature for a scene and riding a color smoothly rather than stepping. 7 replaceable gobos let a production load its own patterns, the animation wheel adds atmosphere, and the 60CH personality gives full manual control of prisms, frost, gobos and animation as separate channels when a scene needs precision.
Rental houses and permanent outdoor installs
One SKU that covers beam, spot and wash is one fewer line item to buy, store, service and track, and the 35/38/60CH personalities mean the same fixture suits a client who wants a simple patch and one who wants everything broken out. IP65 makes it hireable for outdoor bookings as well as indoor ones, and for a permanent outdoor installation it means the fixtures can stay mounted through the seasons.
Outdoor and weather-exposed use
The VERSATILIS 700BSWF is IP65-rated, which covers dust and rain — the reason it can be specified for outdoor stages, festival fields and permanent exposed installations. Keep the connectors off standing water and out of puddles, and make sure the power feed is protected for outdoor use. The 29 kg (63.8 lb) weight means it needs a proper truss position rather than a lightweight stand.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What makes the VERSATILIS 700BSWF different from a standard LED moving head?
The range and the effect set. A 3°–42° beam covers pencil shaft through to full stage wash, so one fixture does the work of a beam head and a wash head. On top of that it has CMY mixing with CTO at 3200K–6200K and CTB, a rotatable wheel of 7 replaceable gobos, an animation wheel with cloud, fire and water effects, and two rotating prisms at 8-facet and 3-facet — all on a 600W LED engine inside an IP65 body.
How many VERSATILIS 700BSWF fixtures do I need?
It depends how much of the room you are covering, because this fixture does more per unit than a specialised head. Two covers a small stage front or a club floor with beam and wash duty. Four across a stage gives you proper coverage with the ability to beam some positions and wash others from the same rig. The 1 PC price is $2,079, and each fixture carries its own zoom, so you are buying coverage rather than effects.
Do I need a DMX controller to run it?
Yes — this is a professional moving head and its functions are driven over DMX. With a console you get the full 3°–42° zoom, CMY mixing with CTO and CTB, both rotating prisms, the frost, the 7 replaceable gobos, the animation wheel and 540° pan / 270° tilt on 16-bit scanning. RDM lets the console handle addressing and setup over the DMX line, and Art-Net or sACN can carry the data over a network instead of a cable run.
What do the 35CH, 38CH and 60CH personalities give me?
Choose based on how much manual control you want. 35CH is the compact patch for a rig where channels are at a premium. 38CH opens up additional parameters. 60CH assigns every function its own channel, which is the mode a designer picks when prisms, frost, gobos and the animation wheel need to be driven independently during a scene. All three live in the same fixture and are selected from the LCD display, so it is a patching decision, not a purchase decision.
Can I use it outdoors?
Yes. The VERSATILIS 700BSWF is IP65-rated, which protects it against dust and rain — suitable for outdoor stages, festival fields and permanent outdoor installations. Keep the connectors out of standing water and make sure the power feed is protected for outdoor use.
How is it powered and connected?
Power is AC100–240V at 50/60Hz with an 850W draw, and the fixture takes a True1 power input. Data connects on 3-pin XLR input/output with an integrated cable, plus 5-pin XLR input/output, so the same fixture patches into a professional 5-pin rack or a 3-pin line. DMX, RDM, Art-Net and sACN are all supported. Every order includes free shipping on most products across the USA, a 2-year warranty and a 30-day return policy.
Will it hold up to regular shows?
The 600W LED engine is rated for 20,000 hours. That is an LED rating rather than a lamp rating, so there is no scheduled consumable to budget for the way there is on a discharge-lamp beam — the light source is expected to last the working life of the fixture. The IP65 sealed body protects the optics and electronics from dust and moisture between dates, and the 2-year warranty covers the fixture itself.
