IP65 means dust and rain protection, and this is a beam light rather than a wash — a combination that is genuinely rare. On the integrated-cable version the power connector is IP65 too, so the whole run from fixture to fixture is sealed, not just the body. That matters on an open-air stage, a festival site or a permanent outdoor installation where the rig cannot be pulled at the first sign of weather. Indoor-only beams have to be covered or struck; this one carries on.
The optical train is a 380W lamp behind a 2° beam angle — about as tight as a moving head gets. That produces a hard, defined shaft rather than a soft cone, which is what makes beams read across a large outdoor space with ambient light and haze. On a festival field or a big stage, the difference between a 2° beam and a wider one is the difference between a beam line the crowd can see and a bright patch they cannot.
Prism1 is a 12-facet rotating prism; Prism2 is a separate 8+16-facet rotating layer.
