Most fixtures fake violet by mixing red and blue, which looks purple on camera but does nothing to fluorescent material. The HUEWAVE PL 1810 carries a dedicated UV LED alongside its red, green, blue and white channels, so white shirts, neon tape, blacklight paint and UV decor actually light up. If a client asks for a glow party or a blacklight look, this fixture delivers it instead of approximating it.
Because the UV sits inside a full color engine rather than in a separate blacklight bar, one fixture does both jobs. You can wash the stage in deep amber for the first dance and then fade to UV for the last song, without a second fixture on the truss or a second DMX address in the universe. Fewer fixtures means less rigging and a shorter strike at the end of the night.
The fixture draws only 51W and is protected by a 3.15A fuse, which is unusual at this output level. Practically, that means a venue with limited power can run a large number of HUEWAVE PL 1810 units on a single circuit, which is the constraint that actually stops people adding more lights. Power is not your bottleneck with this fixture.
The 25° beam angle is the practical middle ground: wide enough to wash a small-to-mid stage or a wall evenly, tight enough to single out a riser or a cake table. At 1.3 kg (2.87 lb) in a 190 × 270 × 95 mm housing, it hangs on a lightweight stand without deflection and one person can carry a full set.
5CH gives you the working set of channels for a straight color wash, fast to patch on a busy universe. 9CH opens up finer control so the UV and the color mix can be driven as separate layers. DMX, Master-Slave, Auto and Sound are all supported, so the fixture works with a console, with a laptop and dongle, or with nothing at all.
The fixture ships with various built-in programs and full color mixing, which means an operator who has never seen a lighting desk can still make it look deliberate. Strobe runs 1–25Hz and dimming is linear across 0–100%, so fades resolve cleanly and the strobe can be dialled from a slow shimmer to a hard hit.
An IEC input and 3-pin XLR in/out are the fittings every venue and every rental inventory already has, so the PL 1810 slots into an existing rig without adapters. At 1.3 kg (2.87 lb) each, the BOX OF 4PCS at $509 is a single carton weighing under 6 kg — a complete UV-and-wash kit you can carry in one hand.
A compact wash that earns its place wherever the room is small and the rig has to go up fast: karaoke bars and small venues, mobile DJ booths, band stages, wedding receptions and school or church halls.
