4096 DMX channels come out of four individually optical-isolated DMX interfaces plus an Art-Net port. Optical isolation is the part that matters on a real rig: it separates the electrical ground of each universe, so a noisy dimmer rack, a faulty fixture or a long cable run on one output cannot bleed noise into the others. With four universes you can give dimmers their own output, moving lights their own, and still have two left for pixel fixtures, LED bars or an effects rack — without repatching to add a fixture.
The whole desk is driven from a single 15-inch high-resolution capacitive LCD touch screen. That means patching, fixture selection, group building, preset recall and playback configuration all happen in one place rather than spread across a bank of dedicated buttons. For a programmer setting up a show, it is the difference between navigating menus on a two-line display and working on a screen that shows the rig at a glance. Scene management and precise parameter adjustment are direct rather than buried.
The desk provides 80 playback pages in total, and each page gives you 15 multifunction faders and 15 playback buttons. That is a large working surface: a resident operator can hold a venue's entire repertoire across a handful of pages and still have room to busk over the top of a guest set. Individual flash and pause keys sit alongside the faders for playbacks, which is what you need when a moment has to land on the beat rather than when you can get to the right button.
Four backlit optical encoders handle data entry, so fine parameter changes in a blacked-out control position are made against a lit dial instead of fumbling in the dark. The key backlighting offers three color options with adjustable brightness, and the playback faders have their own backlighting that can be set to different colors for three different states. On a dark stage or an unlit FOH position, color-coded keys are how you find the right section without a work light.
Connectivity is where this desk earns its place in a mixed rig. MIDI In, Out and Thru interfaces let it work alongside other devices and accept a MIDI time code signal, so cues can follow a show automatically. A USB 2.0 interface accepts a mouse for on-screen work. Audio runs to a 3.5mm stereo interface, an audio optical interface and a headphone output for sync-to-music work and cueing. There is also a network link for connecting the mobile or tablet application, and a working lamp interface with its own luminance regulator for a gooseneck light.
