The Art-Net interface lets you run the same channels over the network to nodes and splitters instead of pulling long DMX runs, so a mid-size theatre, club or arena floor stays clean and reliable.
The 7″ TFT-LCD touchscreen drives the whole desk, and every key is backlit. The key backlight can be changed to red, green or yellow, which matters more than it sounds: in a blacked-out club, color-coded keys mean you find the button you need without a work light. Four backlit optical encoders handle fine parameter setting, so gobo rotation and pan/tilt trim are adjustable to the click, not in the dark.
Up to 600 playbacks can be programmed, driven by 15 playback faders across 40 pages, with 15 playbacks running simultaneously. For a band or a club night that means one desk can hold a whole tour's worth of looks and still let you busk improvise on top. Playbacks carry 5 levels of precedence and attribute times, so a chase can take over a wash and hand it back without you touching anything mid-song.
The desk patches up to 400 units, organizes them into up to 400 groups, and stores up to 400 presets plus 400 user-defined shape effects. Build your positions, color palettes and beam looks once, then recall them as single handles. It is the difference between programming a show in an afternoon and fighting the console during a soundcheck.
The color-mix system gives you one palette to drive fixtures with RGB or CMY channels, so a mixed rig of RGB wash lights and CMY moving heads is addressed the same way. The Shape Generator produces circle, linear and custom motion effects that you modify with parameters, and you can save your own shapes as user effects and call them straight back on the next show.
MIDI in and out lets the desk talk to other consoles and to timecode, and up to 400 Macro Shows can be fired from external MIDI time code or the internal clock. Show data backs up to the internal electronic disk or to a USB stick, so a corrupted desk file never costs you a show. Version upgrades and the system library are offered free on the website.
