Pan and tilt both run continuously with no mechanical end stop. That changes what the fixture can do: instead of sweeping from A to B and swinging back, it spins — through a build, over a drop, and on through the next bar without a visible reversal. 16-bit scanning on both axes keeps the rotation smooth rather than obviously stepped. For a club or a festival where the crowd is watching the air, continuous rotation is a different effect from a moving head that has to turn around.
The enclosure is IP65 rated, which is dust and rain protection: the rating that matters when the gig is an open-air stage, a festival field, a patio or a permanent outdoor install. Indoor-only fixtures have to come down or get bagged the moment the weather turns. This one stays up and stays lit. At 9 kg (15.4 lb) and 279 × 151 × 356 mm (11.0 × 5.9 × 14 in), it is also light enough to hang in arrays without heavy rigging.
The main source is an 80W white LED with a color temperature between 8000K and 9000K — a cool, hard white that reads as a beam rather than a wash. Behind a 2° angle it throws a tight, defined line through haze, which is the whole point of a beam fixture in an outdoor or club setting where ambient light is high. Total draw is 150W, so a run of these does not strain a temporary outdoor power supply.
Sixty RGB LEDs form a ring around the main lens, driven separately from the white beam. That means the halo can hold a slow color chase while the 2° beam stays crisp and white, or the two can lock together for a single saturated look. On a camera-facing stage, in a photo pit or across a festival field, the halo is what keeps the fixture readable as a color object and not just a bright point.
Multiple CYCLONE 80IP fixtures interlock and link together, so a run of them forms a straight, evenly spaced line instead of a row of separately aimed lights. That is how beam walls and synchronized linear effects get built — on a truss, across a stage front, or along an architectural feature. The same linkable body makes permanent outdoor installation straightforward, because spacing is set by the fixture rather than by how carefully each one is hung.
Two DMX personalities cover the fixture: 19CH for a compact patch, 22CH when you want the extra parameters broken out. Between them you get the 18-facet prism, the 8-color wheel plus open, the 8-gobo static wheel plus open, a 0–100% linear dimmer and a strobe of 1s/25. DMX, Master-Slave and Auto modes are built in, and the LCD color display with 4 buttons handles addressing without a console in the room.
The package is 4PCS & 1 ROADCASE at $2,499, which is a complete IP65 beam line in one order. Four fixtures is the number that makes a linkable beam line read properly — two is a pair, four is a wall. The road case means the set travels protected, which matters for a fixture that is designed to be rigged outdoors and moved between sites. Power and data run on True 1 input/output and 3-pin XLR input/output.
Moving heads suit rigs that move with the show — on stage, on tour and outdoors: festival stages, outdoor venues, club and small venue rigs, and rental stock that has to survive the weather.
